Audience Profile - My Profile 

Learning Objectives:

K: about audience segmentation.

U: how audience segmentation effects media products.
BAT: conduct research and create an audience profile for your individual product.
CO: Use media terminology throughout.

Task 2 - Answer the following questions about audience profiling:

Name 5 ways in which audiences can be categorised? - Upper middle class, Middle class, skilled working class and working class

Why do you think it's important for media producers to categorise audiences?- To understand there preferences and include things relatable to their lives 

What is the target audience as described in your chosen brief?- The audience category is from skilled working class to Upper middle class.


Go to www.surveymonkey.com, create a FREE account and create a 10-question questionnaire asking people what they like and dislike about media products of your chosen brief. Then invite peers to answer the questionnaire... you can do this via sending them a link via email. You can also copy and paste this link onto this post. After that  Define your audience.

From my survey results I understood that most of my audience were under 16 and liked sports quite a bit. In particular they mostly enjoyed basketball and football. Also i learnt that over 50% liked the colour red and silver. favourite sports team were the Raptors, Indiana Pacers, Portland blazers for basketball and for football; Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, West ham and Liverpool.
